Bridging Worlds Through Music

In January 2014, I traveled to Geita, Tanzania to teach music to 30 students at Rich Hill Elementary School. This was an amazing and eye opening experience. The students attend school without electricity and running water but are inspired to live vibrantly and well! 

Working with my friend and band mate, Seppo Salminen, students were taught to play percussion instruments, guitar, keyboard and proper vocal technique. As a finale to the experience, the students participated in an online international exchange of music and culture with students at Regent Park School of Music!
